Ellicott Police are investigating an early morning armed hold-up at a 24-hour convenience store on Fairmount Avenue in West Ellicott. Town Police Chief Bill Ohnmeiss says two hispanic males reportedly entered the 575 Convenience Store shortly before 5 this morning... and, one displayed a weapon. Ohnmeiss says the clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash... and, the two men fled west on Fairmount Avenue in a smaller, white car they had parked behind the Salvation Army Thrift Store across the street from the store.
