Pilot and Co-Pilot of small jet that crashed at Chautauqua Co. Airport "very fortunate..."
Two men escaped serious injuries when their small, private jet plane crash-landed at the Chautauqua County Airport near Jamestown late Monday morning.  That from county emergency and airport officials Monday afternoon about the pilot and co-pilot... who were the only two people on board.  Amazingly... Airport Manager Shannon Fisher says both men were able to get away from the crash scene before the wreckage caught fire.  Fisher says both men "walked away" from the crash scene.  She says the pilot asked to be taken to the Erie County Medical Center after suffering head and facial injuries.  The co-pilot was taken to UPMC Chautauqua Hospital for treatment.  Fisher says several local fire companies, and emergency vehicles responded to the fire.  Fisher says the crash was called in shortly after 10 a.m.  County officials say the pilot encountered an electrical problem on board near Jamestown after taking off from the Dunkirk Airport earlier in the morning.  Fisher says the men and their aircraft are tenants of the Dunkirk Airport... but, neither has been identified.  County Emergency Services Director Noel Guttman says their emergency plan for the airport worked as well as could be expected.  The FAA is investigating.
