County and Village of Sinclairville urge water conservation as it has to use two other water wells while main one is checked for fuel leakage...
Due to the fuel spill from the Route 60 accident last Saturday morning... Sinclairville residents are being asked to conserve water.  The accident forced the village to shut down the main water wells that supply the village until officials can verify that water from those sources has not been contaminated.   County officials say the village has two other wells that will be used to supply customers with water.  However... they add that the remaining wells cannot keep up with peak demand.  They add that customers should reduce water use by limiting the time periods they wash clothes... or use a commercially available laundromat... use less water for baths and take shorter showers... and use paper plates and disposable silverwater to reduce the need to wash dishes.  For more information... call Sinclairville Village Water Operator Ryan Edson at 338-8550... or check the county Health Department's website at HealthyCHQ.com for updates.
