Police Captain Bob Samuelson says the caller then asks for the person's Social Security number.  Samuelson says they've been contacted by a handful of potential victims who say they did not give out their personal information.  Samuelson says that's what they're advising residents to do if they receive such a call.  He adds that you should never give out personal information... like you're Social Security number... even you're address.  If you have any questions... call your local police.
