Republican Ross Bonfiglio led the Election Night totals with 1,804 votes. Ellis says most of the absentee ballots -- 178 of them -- have already been counted as part of the current tallies on VoteChautauqua.com. There could also be an impact on the District 12 County Legislature race... where incumbant Democrat Fred Larson led GOP challenger Jeff Russell by 44 votes after Election Night. Ellis says they will likely certify the results next Tuesday or Wednesday.
