Gillibrand calls for full video of Sept. "Double Tap" strikes on alleged drug boat to be made public...
The full video of the "double-tap" strike on an alleged drug smuggling boat in the Carribean should be made public.  However... at the very least all members of Congress should be able to view, and review the footage from the September attack that destroyed the vessel... and, killed all 11 people on board.  That from U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York... a member of the Senate's Armed Services Committee.  The state's junior senator says every member of Congress should be allowed to see it... since they all have security clearances.  Gillibrand says the legal memo that authorized the strikes should be made public.  While the commander involved says a JAG officer was on hand to review the legality of the second-strike... which allegedly killed the remaining two survivors... Gillibrand says she's doubious of the memo that the officer was referring to... and, whether it's legal or not... Congress should have the ability to ask those questions.  Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has said he's still weighing whether or not to release the full video of the second strike on the alleged drug boat... which killed two survivors who were holding onto the vessel.  Gillibrand is among the federal lawmakers who have called on Hegseth to resign because she feels the strikes are illegal.
