Emerson's truck found, but, no one inside; search for the missing man continues...           
The truck belonging to a Lakewood man reported missing early this month has been recovered from Chautauqua Lake.  However... the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department reports that 64 year-old Daniel "Scott" Emerson was not found inside... and, he remains missing.  Officers say the truck was towed by boat to Long Point State Park... where it was removed from the lake.  The Sheriff's Office Water Emergency Team was assisted by Lakewood-Busti Police... State Park Police... the State Police, Erie County, and Niagara County Dive Teams... and, County Emergency Services.  Deputies say the recovery took several days and was impeded by difficult weather conditions... and, poor underwater visibility.  Several divers spent significant time in murky, frigid water in order to conduct this recovery.  Anyone living on Chautauqua Lake and may have camera footage of the truck driving on the lake on March 3rd, is encouraged to contact the Lakewood-Busti Police or the Sheriff's Department's Criminal Investigation Division.  A likely time of that footage would be between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. on March 3rd.  The search for Emerson is on-going.
