Dan Warren to Transition to Afternoons on WHUG
New Morning Program To Start 3/17/25
After more than two decades of hosting WHUG Radio’s popular morning show, Dan Warren is making a shift in his radio career. Warren has decided to transition to the afternoon timeslot, paving the way for the new Murphy, Sam, and Jodi morning show, which currently airs on stations across the country.
“I’m ready to sleep in a little later in the morning,” says Warren. “I love radio, I love our listeners, and I’m excited to continue broadcasting to the country music fans across the southern tier – only on the way from work instead of to work.”
Raised in Dunkirk, Warren began his radio career in high school and has since worked in several markets, including WDOE in Dunkirk, WBUZ in Fredonia, WPHD in Buffalo, and WCCF in Punta Gorda, Florida. He has been a staple in the Jamestown radio market since 1985.
“This is a great radio listening community. It’s been an honor to have been on such heritage radio stations over the years and I’m thankful for the opportunity to stay on the air and do what I love to do.”
The Murphy, Sam, and Jodi show is described as a dynamic blend of pop culture and listener participation, creating a deep emotional connection with listeners.
Jodi, a relatable mom juggling family, work, and friendships, shares the spotlight with her husband, Murphy, and Sam, the fun-loving personality who stirs things up.
The program will air weekdays from 5:00 – 10:00 AM and will be followed by the new Gallo Go-Round from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, familiar local voice Matt Warren will now be heard from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Dan Warren from 3:00 – 7:00 PM and B-Dub Radio from 7:00 – Midnight.
The new Gallo Go-Round is hosted by Texas Hall of Fame broadcaster Dan Gallo, who promises to provide a topical, timely and relevant radio program that has been called quirky and corny.
Gallo has gotten close to a lot of Country Music’s biggest stars over the years and collected a massive number of the stories they've shared with him.
His unique and highly relatable content will have the local radio audience sitting in the car with the motor running, waiting until he is done.
