"Frustrating" ski season concludes in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties...
Skiiers in the Western Southern Tier can put away their skis and poles now that the Winter Season officially came to an end.  That happened last weekend at the Holimont Ski area in Ellicottville... and other locations.  Frewsburg resident Scott Axelson is a member of the Ellicottville center's Adaptive Ski Program... and, says it was a "frustrating" season because there was so little natural snow that fell in this part of the region.  He says they had to produce more in the way of man-made snow in 2022-23 to make a go of it.  Axelson says it wasn't a "typical season..." especially because the colder nights in the past one-month-plus allowed them to maintain a pretty good base for the late season.
