This week... National Comedy Center Executive Dir. Journey Gunderson joins News Director Terry Frank to talk about the star-studded line-up for this year's National Comedy Festival Aug. 6-9, 2026. First, though, we discuss the center receiving 200,000 in occupancy -- or bed tax funding from Chautauqua County to promote the attraction across the region. Gunderson says that's being used to leverage about 550,000 from New York state to do more targeted promotions outside the area in places like Cleveland, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pa. We also talk about the headliner line-up... starting with comedy legend, Jerry Seinfeld performing on Thurs., Aug. 6... at the Northwest Arena. On Saturday Aug. 8, Bert Kreischer -- know for his Netflix specials and other streaming programs -- will perform at the arena. Then on Sun., Aug. 9... Late Night Show host Seth Meyers will perform his stand-up routine at the arena. Gunderson says their annual "Stand Up Showcase" will be held on Friday night, Aug. 7 at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts. This will be the first time that all the headliners will perform at the Northwest Arena. We also discuss Comedy Center memberships... which allow people first crack at tickets on-line, and free admission for the following year to the center.
