This week, our Terry Frank speaks with local Congressman Nick Langworthy on a number of topics, leading with President Donald Trump's proposed 1.776-billion "anti-weaponization" fund. Mr. Trump and others have characterized the fund as money that would be awarded to people who feel they were politically prosecuted during the Biden administration. However... Langworthy says he does have concerns he wants addressed regarding who would be eligible, how that would be determined, and by who. We also discuss the recent Farm Bill... which includes four bills that Langworthy pushed to have in the five-year legislation -- even though he's not on the Agriculture Committee this year. He says two at the GRAPE Act for held growers impacted by recent frosts and freezes, and the MAPLE Act, which helps promote the use of Maple Syrup and other products produced in the region. We also discuss his push for repealing of the HALT Act after the most recent attacks by inmates on corrections staff at state prisons. We also discuss end of session legislation he would like to see action taken on.
