News Director Terry Frank welcomes in CHQ Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Dan Heitzenrater this week to talk about chamber programs, and other special events. We first discuss the upcoming "State of NY-23" with local Congressman Nick Langworthy on Aug. 6. The program will include brief, opening remarks before going to the Q-and-A period at an unidentified "Jamestown-area" location. Heitzenrater says chamber members will be notified the night before -- along with media -- for security reasons. It will be the first time the chamber has heard from Langworthy because he was unable to make a combined program last year with Chautauqua County Executive P.J. Wendel, and state Senator George Borrello and Assemblyman Andrew Molitor. Heitzenrater says it will be a luncheon program... and, they'll try to keep it about an hour in length. We also discuss business ribbon cuttings... which included the opening of the first "Jersey Mike's" subs in the Lakewood Village Plaza, among others. We also discuss programs... including help for small businesses in getting started, and helping them with obtaining insurance.
