News Director Terry Frank speaks with Democratic 150th District NYS Assembly candidate, Tom Carle of Fredonia, about his campaign, and issues he's concerned about. Carle notes that he has run for the area's 23rd Congressional District, and Chautauqua County Executive seats the past couple of years. However... he adds he's undeterred, and wanted to bring his business expertise to Albany, if elected. Carle says his experience has been mainly in turning companies and corporations of various sizes around, and he believes he can help -- as a member of the majority -- in Albany. Democrats have held a significant majority in the Assembly for many years. He also believes that he is on the "right side" of major issues... including the need for government and school mergers, and reducing budgets. He believes development of AI, data centers, and battery storage have helped to trigger the current unaffordability crisis through energy and water usage. As for development of AI, he believes there needs to be guardrails -- especially after some of the AI generators have implored government leaders to use caution in allowing the technology to proceed forward.
